Raye Cole is a singer-songwriter from East St. Louis, IL. She performs around the St. Louis Metropolitan area. In 2015 Raye was one of the grand prize winners of the Hilton Rock Star Competition. The grand prize for this competition was an all-expense paid trip to the 57th Annual Grammys. The same year Raye won the RAW Artist Musician of the Year Award for St. Louis, MO. In May of 2015 Raye and guest performed at the Susan G. Komen Luncheon. Raye’s music was featured in the independent film “Cronies”. This film was written and directed by Michael J. Larnell. The executive producer for this film is the legendary Spike Lee. Raye is a volunteer songwriter with the organization "Songs of Love". The Songs of Love Foundation is an organization that believes that music is medicine. They have a team of songwriters that write songs for children that have severe illnesses. Raye was a blogger for Onstl.com. She wrote a blog called “Life of an Indie Artist in St. Louis”. She wrote about her experiences as an independent artist. Raye performed through an organization called STLive. Raye also worked as a vocal instructor for the School of Rock. Raye has worked on over 100 projects with artist, producers, and DJ's across the globe. Raye is currently a part of a committee called East St. Louis Performs. This committee develops ways to keep the students of East St. Louis, IL interested and involved in the arts. Raye will continue to put out new original music. It is her goal to win a Grammy and to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
